Senior Care Music Therapist

Our therapists provide services in residential and outpatient mental health programs, senior living communities, memory care settings, and individual private sessions. Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Therapist who is excited about working with older adults and helping grow the senior care division of Chrysalis. This is a unique opportunity for someone who enjoys both clinical work and leadership, and who is motivated to play an active role in developing programs, building community partnerships, and expanding services within senior living and memory care settings. As Chrysalis continues to grow, we are looking for a therapist who wants to become an expert in senior care, contribute to the development of a specialized team, and grow alongside our organization.

Qualifications

Applicants must have:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Music Therapy from an accredited programBoard Certification in Music Therapy (MT-BC), or eligibility to sit for the board certification exam within six months of hire

  • Washington State Music Therapist license, or eligibility for licensure

  • Ability and willingness to provide in-person services throughout the North Seattle–Marysville area

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Experience working with older adults, including memory care populations

  • Knowledge of and experience utilizing trauma-informed care practices

  • Strong written communication and clinical documentation skills

  • Excellent organizational, time management, and independent work skills
